Naruto, the series is known for its highly energetic and hyper active presentation of combat. Although, it has a very bold sense of humor involved, the combat is highly thrilling and intense. When I first heard about the game what intrigued me most was the concept of battle. As this is a One-on-One fighting game, I was expecting the same intensity and flair that I am used to watching in the series, what I played was an exceptional representation of the series. The game has all the elements placed exactly where they belong, detailed without going overboard.
The game starts offer a single player campaign as well as a quick start to multiplayer. There are various other modes of play like practice,
Challenge, and story. In the story mode, one can choose his favorite characters like Naruto and Rock lee. The story mode is no prize winner; it's a couple of opponents with some really bad dialogues, forcing you to fight them.
The controls are very simple and don't require a much intellect. Once you learn the controls, your combos make the difference between a victory and defeat.
There are various power ups available through out the arena and you can Stage Shift to acquire those. Stage Shift is, as the name suggests, an ability to jump or change plane in an arena. This gives the arena a larger feel and more versatility
